NEWS, Network for Effective Women's Services, is a physical entity that exists in the real non-cyber world.  It was established April 1993 by Dr. Elizabeth L Schultz, as a Well Woman's Ambulatory Gynecologic Office. NEWS is located in Watkinsville, Georgia. (See Map to NEWS)

    Dr. Melville joined the office April 1998 to run the Ambulatory General Practice Division that cares for men, women and children.

    While, Dr. Mel McDonald, a Naturopathic Physician and Certified Nutritional Counselor, joined our clinic early 1999 to offer his expertise in nutritional and supplemental treatment of health and disease. In 2005 Dr. McDonald graduated from East West College of Natural Medicine. He did his preceptorship in French Energetic & Electro-Acupuncture.  
  Dr. McDonald is a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine ( DOM ) in the State of Arkansas; a licensed Acupuncture Physician (AP) in the State of Florida; and a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) in Georgia.  He is a Federally Registered Naturopath in Washington , DC .  Dr. McDonald is Board Certified (NCCAOM) in Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM) and Acupuncture (Dipl. Ac), and he is also a Board Certified Naturopathic Physician (ANMCAB/ANMA). 

    Together we have joined our ideas to present the blending of allopathic and integrative medicine.  NEWS emphasizes Preventive Holistic Health combined with routine Health Care Maintenance Exams.

    NEWS, even though we can care for illnesses in the traditional medical model, prefers to guide you in your search for Health which should lead to a higher quality of Wellness and OptimalAging.
